Natural-Looking Dental Implants in Holyoke, MA

If you’ve lost teeth, you know the effect it can have on your habits and confidence.

Dental implants are custom-designed to look, feel, and function just like your natural teeth. You can regain the ability to eat virtually anything and smile with pride, knowing that your new teeth will both appear and feel natural, and that your facial contours will be preserved.

What Are Dental Implants?

Dental implants use small titanium posts that are placed into the jaw bone. The bone bonds with the titanium, creating a strong foundation for artificial teeth. Implants can help preserve facial structure, preventing bone deterioration from missing teeth.

Dental implants are changing the way people live. With this incredible tooth replacement solution, patients are rediscovering the comfort and confidence to eat, speak, laugh, and enjoy life.

Dental Implant Candidacy

If you’re interested in receiving dental implants, the first step is scheduling a consultation with one of our dentists where you’ll undergo a dental/radiographic examination.

During this visit, your specific needs and considerations will be addressed by either Dr. Chen, Dr. Chang, Dr. Lu, or Dr. Liu. Your questions and concerns are important to us and our team will work with you very closely to help make your procedure a success.

The Dental Implant Procedure

The Dental Implant procedure is a surgical one, but there is no need to worry! Our experienced team is here to get you through it with as little fuss as possible. The dental implant process can be broken down into three simple steps.

  1. First, dental implants are placed within your jaw bone. For the first three to six months following surgery, the implants are beneath the surface of the gums, gradually bonding with the jaw bone.
  2. An additional piece known as an abutment will be attached to the implant. This is the piece that will hold the crown. The procedure may require a minor outpatient surgery with local anaesthesia, but often it is unnecessary if the metal post is already exposed.
  3. Your dentist will then start making your new teeth. An impression will be taken, and then posts or attachments can be connected to the implants. The replacement teeth are then made over the posts or attachments.

The entire procedure usually takes six to eight months. Most patients do not experience any disruption in their daily life.
